The South Korean premium car brand has posted several images of its first crossover/SUV and revealed some specs ahead of the premiere, which is now less than a week away.
The production car is mostly identical to its namesake concept from 2017 (watch the video for details), the only differences being simpler headlights, more conventional door handles, and side mirrors instead of cameras. Inside, there is an infotainment unit with a huge display, a sensor-based climate control panel, and three seat rows.
The crossover comes based on a RWD platform, but you may opt for AWD in higher trim levels. The engine range includes a 2.5-liter turbo V4, a 3.5-liter turbo V6, and a turbo diesel. The V6 variant leads the spec sheets with 380 hp (283 kW) and 530 Nm (391 lb-ft).
Straight after the reveal, the Genesis GV80 will become available in South Korea. Availability on other markets is expected later in the year, with no closer estimates provided.
