South Korean premium car manufacturer Genesis has revealed its first crossover vehicle – the GV80 – earlier this month, and will soon be unveiling the compact-sized GV70. According to the latest industry scoops, a big bad GV90 might also be in the works.
A source claiming inside knowledge of the company’s affairs says Genesis is currently looking into the financial prospects of launching such an SUV. On the one hand, competing with the German automotive industry can be incredibly challenging. On the other hand, it is still essential if the marque’s ambition to conquer the premium market is serious.
Genesis currently does not mention any kind of upcoming large SUV on its pages, instead reporting that it is working on a production sports car based on its Essentia Concept and a mini-hatchback series inspired by the Mint Concept.
