Germany unhappy with EU tariffs for China-imported EVs

The adoption by the European Union of higher import fees on electric vehicles manufactured in China has caused quite a bit of frustration for both sides involved, Bloomberg reports.

Germany’s Minister for Economic Affairs, Robert Habeck, plans on visiting China next week to talk with the government about the economic hurdles this recent law has created.

Per Bloomberg, Germany is looking to soften the legislation somewhat or even cancel the tariffs outright in order to keep its high-end car market safe from China’s hard-hitting countersanctions.
