Gordon Murray Automotive has always been famous for its high-revving engines, most notably the old-school, non-turbo V12 blocks powering the T.50 and T.33 models. But the time doesn’t stay still, and so the company has started looking for ways to electrify its lineup.
Speaking in an interview with Top Gear, GMA CEO Phillip Lee admitted that the research department was looking for an optimal electrification solution to use in Gordon Murray-badged vehicles going forward.
“Eventually we’ll all end up going electric,” he said, adding that “legislation will dictate where we’re all going”. He also pointed out that the company did not restrain itself to purely electric propulsion, also looking into hybrid systems and even hydrogen fuel cell powertrains.
