GM to produce the Nikola Badger truck line

General Motors has signed a strategic partnership with Nikola Motors, according to which the EV startup gets access to GM technologies, Ultium batteries and hydrogen powertrains named among others. In turn, GM will assemble Badger pickup trucks and distribute Nikola-branded batteries and fuel cells.

The Badger is a concept vehicle that relies on a hybrid powertrain composed of a hydrogen system and quad electric motors. It produces 919 horsepower (685 kilowatts) and can cover over 965 km (600 miles) on a single tank-up.

In earlier news, General Motors formed an alliance with Honda to cooperate in research and acquisitions, design car services and produce cars using shared architectural solutions.
