McCoy Miller had this 2007MY GMC 3500 4×4 truck converted into an ambulance car for a hospital in Wyoming, but when it was about to retire, someone ordered an RV made out of it instead.
The GMC had 151,000 kilometers (94,000 miles) under its belt by the time OttoEx converted it into a motorhome with an Allisson transmission and a 6.6-liter V8 Duramax turbo diesel under the hood. The client who ordered it never got around to using it, however, so they let OttoEx buy it back from them. The vehicle is on sale right now and costs $85,000.
Funnily enough, it still looks like an ambulance, although custom body graphics hint that it is of a different breed. The siren and the flashing beacons are still functional, but turning them on is illegal. Found inside is a cozy little dining room with a sofa, a well-stocked kitchen, a shower cabin and a queen’s bed.
Elsewhere, the custom packs plenty of storage space, has tanks for clear and used water, an AC, and solar panels to keep its large battery charged at all times.
