Most pickups are supposed to be utility vehicles first and foremost, but the GMC Canyon Syclone packs 760 PS (750 hp / 560 kW) and prioritizes driving enjoyment over fuel economy. Earlier this week, Special Vehicle Engineering (SVE) updated the Syclone for the new model year.
Only 50 such trucks will be produced. Each will receive an in-house designed radial supercharger driving the stock V8 to 760 PS (750 hp / 560 kW) and 814 Nm (600 lb-ft) of torque. To ensure the longevity of the system, it gets aluminum pistons, forged connecting rods and heavy-duty drive shafts.
In addition to the above, the AWD truck benefits from a range of fuel system upgrades, better injectors, a stainless-steel exhaust system and a class-leading gearbox changing gears almost instantly.
Customers can ask for an interior makeover complete with special stitching and Syclone logos, but it costs extra.
