GMC has unveiled the Canyon AT4X AEV Edition, a truck based on last year’s AT4X spec but with even more impressive off-roading chops.
One of the main selling features of the AT4X is its 76 mm (3 inches) of added ground clearance. The AEV Edition adds another 40 mm (1.6 inches) for a total of 310 mm (12.1 inches). Large beadlock-protected rims and 35-inch tires are included, another step up from the AT4X with its 33-inch tires.
On the outside, the truck flaunts wheel arch extensions and heavy-duty bumpers shortened for improved maneuverability on uneven terrain. The front one comes prepared for a winch and has red towing eyes.
There are five skid plates in total, made from high-tensile boron steel to shield the steering mechanism, the transmission, the fuel tank and the rear differential from damage.
