The closer the battery-powered Hummer SUV and pickup are to the launch, the more details emerge. These latest images show what the initiator of the leak claims to be the chassis of the new Hummer complete with the battery and wheels.
While some may be more interested in studying the innovative EV platform, many pointed out the wheel design. It is markedly different from what the manufacturer showed us in the announcement teaser, and looks smaller.
The full shot reveals the carriage with electric motors mounted on it alongside Ultium batteries that GMC claims are cheaper to produce and at the same time more reliable than common traction batteries. Their layout allegedly ensures perfect 50:50 inter-axle distribution of weight.
The GMC Hummer EV off-roader and pickup truck will come in a variety of versions each, offering a range of powertrains and battery sizes to select from.
The premiere remains set for this fall.
