Worldwide famous game developer Epic Games has announced a change of direction: the company will be designing software for in-car infotainment systems, including the one of the upcoming GMC Hummer EV.
Using the popular Unreal Engine, the team will strive to produce an infotainment interface that would boast vivid and high-definition visuals while working fast and being easy to develop apps and extensions for.
We will see the first tech demo at the reveal of the electric pickup truck on October 20. The car comes powered by three electric motors joining efforts for 1,000 hp (745 kW) total, allowing a sprint from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) in three seconds flat.
