The GMC Hummer EV will celebrate its official premiere tomorrow, October 20, 2020. The manufacturer will also start accepting pre-orders for the truck against a rather symbolic $100 deposit.
Customers will be able to choose from four available trim schemes for their pickups.
The premiere had originally been planned for May this year, but the pandemic saw it pushed back five months.
General Motors won’t begin the actual mass production and shipments until late 2021. Multiple specs and powertrain variants will be offered simultaneously, including the top spec with triple electric motors and 1,000 horsepower (745 kilowatts). This version should be able to hit 60 miles per hour (97 km/h) in three seconds, the manufacturer claims.
