GMC Hummer EV SUV shows up on a photo

General Motors flashed the SUV version of its upcoming Hummer EV during a presentation event dedicated to the electrified vehicles investment prospects. This is the first time we are seeing the model in full and not just as a dark outline.

The Hummer EV pickup truck premiered a month ago – we suggest watching the video in the unlikely case you missed it. It looks like the SUV will be mostly identical to it except for the rear end, obviously. It might also ship with certain exclusive options, but no such details have been provided so far.

Furthermore, the car shown looks like a full-size mock-up lacking a powertrain. The company admitted that it hadn’t built a single road-ready prototype of the truck to test before the announcement, so it might be the same with the SUV.

When it comes out, the Hummer EV will originally ship with 1,000 hp (745 kW) under the hood and 563 km (350 miles) of range. Shipments won’t begin until late 2021, but the entire 2021MY production batch has already been wiped off the virtual showroom floors via pre-orders.
