General Motors took the virtual wraps off its electric pickup truck in October, but never showed us a working prototype. This is fixed now: in the latest official video, the Hummer EV can be seen preparing to wintertime tests at the Milford Proving Ground.
The archrival of the Tesla Cybertruck, Rivian R1T and Lordstown Endurance is only expected to arrive in late 2021, starting with the top tri-motor, 1000-HP (750-kW) spec that will feature 4WS, autopilot, an off-road package, a luxurious cabin and active air-ride suspension for U.S. $112,595. The $79,995 base spec will only emerge in spring 2024.
An SUV should also be released on the same platform at a later date, offering a choice between two and three seat rows, but GMC names no specific dates.
