The battery-powered GMC Hummer SUV will hit the spotlight on April 3, 3021. It will share the drivetrain and tech with the truck version while trading the bed for an extra seat row.
Following the example of its direct rivals – the Ford Bronco and the Jeep Wrangler – the electric off-roader will also offer removable roof panels. The top spec is expected to pack three motors jointly rated at 1,014 PS (1,000 hp / 746 kW).
GMC has already debuted the pickup-shaped Hummer EV, but production will not start until this fall. The high-end truck has air-ride suspension that can grant it up to 150 mm (6 inches) of additional ride height when necessary, as well as 4WS and a CrabWalk mode for moving sideways.
