Well, haven’t you? The GMC Hummer EV and the Rivian R1T are the two most talked-about electric trucks out there, so Throttle House couldn’t resist pitting one against the other. Oh, Tesla Cybertruck wanted to join in, too, but couldn’t because it didn’t exist yet, so it had to pass the honor to a Tesla Model X.
The Hummer EV is a much more powerful machine than the Rivian, but also a much heavier one. It makes 1,013 PS (1,000 hp / 746 kW), while its rival makes 846 PS (834 hp / 622 kW). The Hummer also has more torque at 1,626 Nm (1,200 lb-ft) versus 1,231 Nm (908 lb-ft).
