GMC Hummer EV gets a 3X Edition

GMS has expanded its Hummer EV lineup with the addition of 3X, a new trim level available both for the 2023MY truck and the 2024MY SUV. The 3X is expected to be cheaper than the Edition 1on sale right now, but all pricing remains to be revealed.

It looks like the 3X is basically identical to the Edition 1 with the sole exception of not including the Extreme Off-Road Package (you can still buy it for a premium). The package in question offers 18-inch wheels with 35-inch Mud Terrain tires (as opposed to 22-inch wheels with All-Terrain tires), stainless-steel skid plates and assisting off-road cameras.

Other than that, the base car is still a Hummer EV packing a trio of electric motors rated at 1,014 PS (1,000 hp / 746 kW) for the truck and 842 PS (830 hp / 619 kW) for the SUV. There are no new interior photos, so we assume the cabin stays the same, too, with a premium trim and two screens measuring 12.3 and 13.4 inches across.

The 3X is also identical to the Edition 1 in terms of range. With the Extreme Off-Road Package installed, the truck gets 530 km (330 miles) from a full charge. Removing the package nets you 571 km (355 miles). The SUV is slightly behind with 483 km (300 miles) and 505 km (314 miles), respectively. Note that all numbers are OEM-rated and remain to be certified.
