GMC announces a range upgrade for 2024 Hummer EV

Car manufacturer GMC has confirmed that the 3X version of its Hummer EV is on its way to a range increase this fall. While the current truck can cover 571 km (354 miles) on a charge, the updated variant can do 613 km (381 miles).

In addition to the above, those who opt for the Extreme Off-road Package will get various exterior reinforcements, skid plates and 18-inch wheels shod in 35-inch all-terrain tires. This version will also benefit from the range upgrade, going from its original 530 km (329 mi) to 578 km (359 mi).

The manufacturer hasn’t revealed any technical specifics. Our colleagues over at Carscoops believe the new trucks could just ship with a slightly larger battery pack.

Prices will start from U.S. $106,945 for the base spec, a premium of roughly $6,500 over the current version. That being said, you can no longer pre-order the 2023 GMC Hummer EV.
