Hummer EV Edition 1 crops up on aftermarket for $130k+

When GMC revived the Hummer nameplate and imbued it with electricity, it produced a pilot batch of 2,500 trucks under the name ‘Edition 1’. It is no longer available from the manufacturer, but someone is selling theirs on Cars and Bids with 300 km (186 miles) on the odo. The bidding is at $130,000, but there are three days until the end of the auction.

Back when it premiered, the Edition 1 had a four-wheel steering chassis that could go sideways (the so-called Crab Mode), 22-inch wheels, adaptive air suspension, removable roof panels, and a high-end infotainment system.

Those interested in grabbing an electric Hummer may want to join in on the auction before it is over. The Hummer EV is on a backorder queue spanning years right now; it is so bad that GMC isn’t even taking any new orders anymore. With this in mind, getting a virtually new truck on the secondary market is arguably the quickest way to obtain yours.
