The bulky and extremely heavy GMC Hummer EV has been selling rather poorly lately, plummeting nearly 55% in January-June 2026 to mere 3,601 units. Apparently, General Motors thinks that what this lumbering behemoth of an SUV truly needs is a styling package.
Called the Icon 25, it makes the electric off-roader resemble the gas-powered Hummer H2 dating back to 2002. The biggest visual change comes in the form of a yellow livery said to match that of the once-popular military-derived vehicle. However, where the H2 wore chrome trim on its body, the Hummer EV makes do with modern black trim. It also features a modern black leather interior left stock save for a commemorative plaque.
The powertrain stays likewise undisturbed. Depending on the spec, the GMC Hummer EV churns out between 635 and 1,160 PS (626–1,144 hp; 467–853 kW, respectively). On the upside, the Icon 25 edition features a NACS-standard charging port compatible with all Tesla Supercharger stations.
We hear that only 250 examples will be offered, but the number is liable to change. All prices are pending.
