The $108,695 Edition 1 of the electric GMC Sierra Denali truck has been sold out in preorders within a day from its premiere, the company has reported. Those still interested in this spec are invited to join a waiting list.
The preorders were available against a $100 deposit. GMC never mentioned how many Edition 1 units will be made, and warned that the shipments would not begin until 2024.
The Denali EV has 644 kilometers (400 miles) of electric range and needs 10 minutes to replenish 161 km (100 miles’) worth of charge. Its powertrain churns out 764 PS (754 hp / 562 kW), taking the truck from zero to 60 mph (96.6 km/h) in 4.5 seconds.
In 2025, GMC will be adding a base spec called Elevation to the Sierra EV range. Its starting price is officially estimated at $50,000.
