The next-generation GMC Sierra pickup truck has been officially revealed during a dedicated presentation event in Detroit, U.S.A. The vehicle, which is scheduled to hit the showrooms in the fall of 2018, has been exhibited alongside the luxurious version of Sierra Denali.
The refreshed GMC Sierra comes with a reshaped radiator grille, new LED headlights, and numerous chrome parts. Owing to the use of modern materials and technology, it weighs 163 kilograms (360 lbs.) less than its predecessor. There is also a two-leaf trunk compartment door for easier loading and unloading – a sane decision, considering that said compartment is 1,800 liters large.
The interior trimming of the updated GMC Sierra is strongly reminiscent of the one found in its parent model – the Chevrolet Silverado – with the exception of a new dashboard and an overall tendency towards the more expensive materials, especially in case of the premium GMC Sierra Denali. The vehicle comes equipped with a number of electronic assistance features and systems for additional comfort and safety.
The next-gen GMC Sierra pickup truck gets released in the U.S. with three engine options to choose from: an all-new 3.0L diesel and two gasoline V8’s 5.3 and 6.2 liters large. All prices will be revealed later.
