General Motors has unveiled Elevation, a new trim level of its full-size pickup truck GMC Sierra. The car changes both visually and technically in this specification.
The principal difference that makes the GMC Sierra Elevation stand out against its siblings is the complete absence of chromed body parts. Instead, these are all painted to match the body color. The only exclusions are the black-colored wheel arch linings, bumper moldings, and radiator grille.
In its most basic version, the GMC Sierra Elevation ships with a brand-new 2.7-liter turbo V4 engine with 300+ hp (225+ kW) at its disposal. You may also opt for a hi-end 5.3-liter V8 or a 3.0-liter, six-cylinder turbo diesel engine, but the latter won’t be available until late next year. All these work in conjunction with an eight-speed automatic transmission.
In terms of paid features and options, the GMC Sierra Elevation offers off-road suspension, hill descend control, torque divider and rear diff lock.
The new version of the pickup truck will reach US dealerships this fall. Prices will be announced later.
