The China patent office has published the photos of the upcoming Toyota Wildlander crossover. The car comes based on the fifth-gen RAV4 chassis and tech, but sports style tweaks, different body dimensions and new trim materials.
The Toyota Wildlander sports redesigned bumpers all around, a new radiator grille, and restyled lighting. The new body kit implies revised body dimensions, but the specifics remain unclear.
As far as the powertrain is concerned, the SUV is no different from the RAV4. This means it will ship with a choice between a hybrid configuration (222 hp / 166 kW, 2.5-liter gas engine + electric RWD) and an old two-liter gas engine rated at 171 hp (128 kW).
In all likelihood, we will be seeing the SUV premiere before the end of the year.
