Great Wall uploads images of a new pickup truck

Photos of a new pickup truck developed by the Chinese car manufacturer Great Wall emerged in the database of the Chinese Ministry of Industry a short while ago. The name of the vehicle or its premiere date remain unknown.

We only have little bits of information available right now. For one, the car is meant for the Australian market. It is going to become the new flagship of the brand, positioned above the Steed / Wingle 6 pickup.

The vehicle is 5,095 mm (16.72 ft.) long, 1,800 mm (5.91 ft.) wide and 1,760 mm (5.77 ft.) tall. Its wheelbase extends beyond three meters / 10 ft. An elongated model with 300 mm / 1 ft. extra body length will also be made available.

The engine compartment of the vehicle will house a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine capable of 150 hp (112 kW) and a 6-speed manual transmission. The car will ship with the rear drive and 4WD.

The international product range of Great Wall only consists of three cars: Wingle 5, Wingle 6 and an upgraded variant of the former. It is therefore possible that the new pickup truck will be named “Wingle 7” and shipped to Australia, Europe and the USA.
