Haima has launched its 6P model, a plug-in hybrid crossover SUV based on the same chassis and tech as the gas-powered S5. The two available specs cost 162,800 and 175,800 Chinese Yuan ($25,158 and $27,166 USD at current rates).
The car produces 252 PS (249 hp / 185 kW) and 524 Nm (386 lb-ft) of torque. Its all-electric range is reported as 80 km (50 miles) according to the outdated NEDC standard of measurement.
Default equipment includes a fin-shaped antenna, dual tailpipes, and a two-tone exterior finish. The interior comes draped in fabric and imitation leather. The dashboard is analog by default, but you can order a digital one if you want to, sized 10 inches across just like the infotainment system screen.
The manufacturer says developing the proprietary Deep Blue Power architecture for part-electric cars necessitated 5 years of work and €320 million in investments. The platform uses a 1.2-liter turbo three-cylinder engine rated at 141 PS (139 hp / 104 kW) and 244 Nm (180 lb-ft) of torque. It also comprises an HMA GA12-YF1 electric motor, a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, and a battery rated at 17.7 kilowatt-hours. The powertrain drives all four wheels by design.
