Haval B26 patented as ‘Xianglong’ in China

The mid-size SUV formerly known under its in-house model designation ‘Haval B26’ has now been patented in the Ministry of Industry and IT as ‘Haval Xianglong’ – this is what it will be called when it reaches the domestic market in the second half of the year.

Judging by the patent pics, the final production version of the SUV looks exactly the same as on the teasers. It sports a boxy body, round headlights and a large radiator grille, as well as a (probably imitated) skid plate at the front and a rugged body kit all around.

The tailgate is side-hinged and holds a spare wheel alongside vertical taillights with square sections. A trailer hook is listed under optional equipment.
