Haval B26 interior exposed, looks like Dargo Mk2

Chinese car manufacturer Haval has already shown us its upcoming SUV provisionally known as the B26, but pre-production tests continue to this day. The latest spy shots expose the cabin of the off-roader, which happens to look almost exactly like that of the second-generation Haval Dargo a.k.a. DaGou a.k.a. H-Dog.

Similarities include a level front panel with impressively sized air vents, a multi-function steering wheel and two large displays. The Dargo ships with screens sized 12.3 and 14.6 inches large, and these look the same or at least similar. On the other hand, the B26 lacks a dedicated HVAC control panel – perhaps because the controls are all in the head unit. The transmission selector is the same, too. Perhaps the only noticeable difference is in the door panel trim: the new B26 opts for a more traditional design compared to the Dargo.

No technical specifications have been revealed so far. For all we know, the SUV might turn out to be a simple crossover disguised to look like a rugged off-roader a-la Land Rover Defender. The company’s official images show it connected to a charging device, hinting at a PHEV powertrain. Haval has a tri-motor powertrain like this in its portfolio. It is called Hi4 and churns out 280 PS (276 hp / 206 kW).

Domestic sales are expected to start before the end of the year.
