Haval has revealed the pricing point of its large SUV, the H5, on the domestic market. The base spec starts from 122,800 Yuan.
Buyers can choose from two engines available in two boosts each. The affordable option comes in the form of a 2.0-liter petrol unit normally rated at 190 PS (187 hp / 140 kW) and 360 Nm (266 lb-ft) of torque. The above only applies to the six-speed manual version, though. Paying extra for an auto transmission gets you 218 PS (215 hp / 160 kW) and 380 Nm (280 lb-ft) of torque.
The other option is a diesel engine with 163 PS (161 hp / 120 kW) at the output end and 360 Nm (266 lb-ft) of torque. Pairing it with an AT instead of MT lifts the torque to 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) while leaving the power unchanged.
Depending on the trim level, the H5 can ride on wheels sized up to 18 inches large. Other options include a panoramic sunroof, eco-leather upholstery, a 12.3-inch infotainment system, HVAC, 360-degree cameras, and a driving assist package.
