Haval’s latest SUV, the Raptor, is now available in China with two powertrains and three trim levels to choose from priced from 165,800 to 183,800 Yuan (U.S. $22,700–25,200).
The dimensions (L/W/H/WB) are 4,800, 1,916, 1,822, and 2,738 millimeters. The ground clearance is not too bad at 200 mm (7.8 inches), and the maximum wading depth is 560 mm (21.9 inches).
In its most basic form, the Haval Raptor gets a 1.5-liter turbo engine and an electric motor for a combined output of 378 PS (373 hp / 278 kW) and 750 Nm (553 lb-ft) of torque. A 19-kWh LiFePo4 battery pack gives it 102 km (63 miles) of all-electric range.
Paying extra raises the power output to 383 PS (378 hp / 282 kW) while keeping the torque intact and lets you drive 145 km (90 miles) in all-electric mode thanks to a larger 27.5-kWh battery.
The driver gets a 14.6-inch infotainment display, a 13.2-inch digital dash screen and a heads-up display. A modern assist package capable of working with real-time navigation data is also on the list.
