Hennessey Performance, a worldwide known car tuning company based in Texas, announced a change of plans after customer protests. Rather than focusing on producing the all-electric grand tourer known as Deep Space (see below), it will dedicate time to a still-unannounced ICE car inspired by the Porsche Carrera GT.
Earlier on, Hennessey said it was planning to launch a revolutionary electric hypercar in 2026 that would have six wheels and six electric motors to drive them. Now that the customers urged it to reconsider its schedule, the company no longer knows when the Deep Space may see the light of the day. The only thing we know on official terms is that it remains in the plans.
As for the supercar inspired by the Carrera GT, the tuner said it would feel ‘analog’ and ‘intuitive’. While not official yet, it is logical to assume that it will have a roadster body and draw its power from a naturally aspirated engine connected to a manual gearbox.
