The Hennessey Venom F5 hypercar will premiere at the Monterey Car Week in the USA later this month. The vehicle was designed specifically to beat the world speed record by accelerating past 300 mph (483 km/h).
The Hennessey Venom F5 Concept, named after a U.S. fighter plane from the 1960s, was introduced to the public 9 months ago. And it looks like the manufacturer is ready to show us the final production version of the car.
The vehicle will come driven by an 8.0-liter V8 engine assisted by either two or four turbochargers and capable of exerting around 1,600 horsepower (1,200 kW) and 1,763 Nm (1,300 lb·ft) of torque. Hennessey will disclose its exact parameters at the upcoming show.
In addition to the above, the car will get hi-end Michelin performance tires and Brembo brakes.
The rear-driven Hennessey Venom F5 will challenge the world speed record at the Nürburgring’s North Loop track.
