Car tuning atelier Hennessey has revealed official images of its Venom F5 hypercar along with some details concerning the forthcoming release.
As you may remember, earlier media rumors speculated that the car would get a turbocharged engine with 7.4L of displacement room. Other said it would be as big as 8.0L. Both turned out a bit off the mark, though. The sporty vehicle ended up with a 7.6L engine producing 1,600 hp (1,190 kW).
According to the managing director of the tuning atelier, the hypercar will attempt to set a whole series of new world records next year. This doesn’t sound too ambitious once you consider that it takes advantage of a brand-new architecture and has a drag coefficient as low as 0.33 Cx.
Hennessey plans to produce a total of 24 such cars priced at U.S. $1,600,000 each.
