The last out of 24 produced Holden HSV GTS 300 Coupe III vehicles is looking for a new owner in Sydney, Australia. Coincidentally, it is also the last car in the GTS series (see video). Would you say that justifies its AU$250,000 selling price?
You could buy a used Lamborghini Gallardo for that kind of money, but the car certainly looks like it should have some collector’s value. Holden Special Vehicles stopped building these on the Monaro platform 18 years ago. Furthermore, back in 2004, you needed to place a special order to get a GTS version powered by a GM V8 with some Callaway tuning on it for 400+ horsepower.
The engine works together with a six-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. The car has some of the largest brakes installed that you could find in all of Australia at the time, specifically six-piston AP Racing calipers with 373mm (14.5”) rotors at the front and four-piston ones with 343mm (13.4”) rotors in the back.
The body boasts some grey bumper and sill accents against a black exterior. The cabin is wrapped in black leather.
The car has 37,284 km (23,167 miles) on the odometer and comes with a certificate of authenticity confirming its exclusive status.
