Honda introduced its affordable Amaze sedan/saloon to the world in 2018. Inspired by the Accord and the Civic in terms of overall design, the car was primarily targeted at the Asian-Pacific market. Executive Modcar Trendz, a tuner shop based in Mumbai, India, set out on a challenging task to enhance the looks of the allegedly lackluster ride.
It is a shame that the team settled on the famous Nissan IDx Nismo Concept, a follower in the footsteps of the 1960s Nissan Skyline GT-R, as their primary source of inspiration. Even famous tuners would probably struggle with a conversion like this – and they would never achieve a convincing imitation using the cheap Honda Amaze chassis anyway. Apparently, Executive Modcar Trendz saw things in a different light…
So, what do we have here? Shoddy proportions, haphazardly designed bodywork, poorly chosen wheels – wherever you look, everything feels cheap and random.
The interior has not changed much from its stock state, except for a new color scheme and the faux carbon inserts.
That aside, there are a few things that deserve at least a modicum of praise. For one, the tuner did a decent job painting the car to resemble the original Nissan IDx Nismo. It also went through the pain of designing a custom hood, roof spoiler, side mirrors, side windows, and wheels for the model. Too bad the outcome still looks frustrating at best...
