As we reported earlier, at the Frankfurt-2017 motor show Honda introduced the retro concept of Urban EV to the public. Now at a similar event in Tokyo, the company held a presentation of the prototype Honda Sports EV, executed in the same style.
The model highlights a long hood and a rearward-shifted cabin, and the front end is made in the style of the 1972 Civic. Following the retro-canons, the car was awarded round headlights. Instead of a radiator grill, a digital display is installed. The large disks that the car received are painted in body color.
The Honda Sports EV Concept brought to Tokyo was completely tinted, so it's just a matter of guessing how the interior looks. However, as it became known from insiders, in the saloon with the landing of 2 + 2 they installed a large screen of the multimedia system.
The prototype of the Honda Sports EV is built on the same platform as the Urban EV, and the electric motor drives it, the technical characteristics of which are not known. According to the representatives of the company, they plan to finalize the concept and release it in the "series" in 2-3 years.
