Unreal-looking images of a Honda concept car have recently been discovered in an official patent database, indicating that the company may be getting a futuristic design study ready to rumble.
The study has sealed wheels with swirling streaks spreading outwards. Some of these streaks reach as far as the doors, which seem to lack conventional handles. An enormous sunroof replaces both the side glass and the rear window, flowing smoothly to the hood. Other highlights include angular headlights and front splitter, as well as slim taillights.
It looks like the study will be an all-electric flagship vehicle packed to the brim with electronic assists, including a self-driving system. Honda has been dedicating considerable resources to researching autonomous driving solutions (see video), and even announced a few SAE Level 3 cars last year. Aside from that, the automaker invested funds into Cruise, a startup firm working on driverless shuttle bus concepts.
