Honda has shared some official photos of the ZR-V crossover designed for its domestic market. The same car is already available in China under the same name and in the United States, where it is known as the HR-V.
A new radiator grille with vertical bars instead of a mesh is the main distinguishing feature on the outside. The front bumper has also been redesigned and the tailpipe finishers enlarged slightly.
Inside, though, pretty much everything stays the same, including the displays, the wheel, the ornamental mesh trim and the HVAC panel. The only thing that differs noticeably is the center console.
Powering the JDM Honda ZR-V is the same hybrid powertrain that propels the Civic for Europe. A petrol engine works in tandem with two electric motors for a combined output of 184 PS (181 hp / 135 kW) and 315 Nm (232 lb-ft) of torque. A non-hybrid version based on a 1.5-liter turbo four-cylinder will also go on sale later, but its specs remain to be announced.
