Honda has shared some initial photos of the concept vehicles it will be bringing to the Japan Mobility Show in late October this year. There are two compact hatchbacks, a scooter and a supermini two-wheeler running on batteries. Then there is a mysterious Specialty Sports Concept, which sounds promising but has not been revealed at all yet.
Let’s take a closer look at the concept we have in the gallery below. Starting with the Sustaina-C, it is a three-door hatch looking not unlike Honda e and sporting a bodywork made from fully recyclable acrylic tar. The same material is partly used in the Pocket Concept, a moped that can probably be folded and tucked into the trunk.
The Ci-MEV is an electric compact two-seater designed to provide mobility in areas without public transports. According to its authors, it can also serve as a self-driving taxi. In its final production form, it could compete with the likes of Citroen Ami and Opel Rocks-e, as well as other European quadricycles.
Finally, the SC e:Concept is an electric scooter concept that pioneers the idea of swappable batteries in this type of transports.
