The North American subdivision of Honda has posted a few photos of its updated Pilot and HR-V SUVs and disclosed some of their technical details.
Both the Honda Pilot and the HR-V are depicted wearing new bumpers with black moldings on both sides and a new, smaller air intake. The headlights are similar in style to the Acura Jewel Eye series.
There is some novelty inside as well. The dashboard and the steering wheel have been redesigned, the gear stick has been replaced with a button panel, and the infotainment screens for rear passengers have become larger. By the way, the CabinTalk feature enables Pilot / HR-V passengers to talk to each other using microphones.
The base trim level of Pilot covers such things as the adaptive cruise control, emergency brake, traffic sign recognition and lane control, alongside some other safety-oriented features. The HR-V comes with more advanced iterations of the same features. Remote trunk opening and Wi-Fi are optionally available.
Both SUVs get transmission improvements and better noise proofing. The HR-V additionally gets 4WD.
The manufacturer will hold the premiere in mid-July, when the cars reach the showrooms.
