The tenth generation of the Honda Accord has gone through a planned mid-life refresh, hitting U.S. showrooms later today priced from $24,770.
You can tell the newcomer from its predecessor by the widened radiator grille, new anti-fog lights and alloy wheels, and the Sonic Gray Pearl exterior paint.
Inside, the eight-inch infotainment screen now belongs in the basic equipment list, and you can pay extra for wireless smartphone connectivity.
The trim list expands to incorporate Sport Special Edition, which comes with natural leather upholstery, power adjustments and heating for the front seats, an engine start switch, a Dark Chrome grille and exclusive 19-inch wheels.
Powering the Accord is its old 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder good for 192 hp (143 kW) or 252 hp (188 kW), as well as a hybrid system rated at 212 hp (158 kW). All three powertrains benefit from firmware optimizations, the manufacturer reports. Manual transmission is no longer available, but you can still choose between CVT and 10-speed A/T.
