Throttle House has published an interesting video of a quarter-mile drag race between a Honda Accord, a Civic Type R, and a Toyota Camry TRD.
The beefed-up Camry packs a 3.5-liter V6 rated at 305 PS (301 hp / 224 kW), which links to an eight-speed automatic transmission. It needs 5.8 seconds to jolt from nothing to 100 km/h (62 mph) and maxes out at 240 km/h (149 mph).
Powering the Civic Type R is a two-liter turbo diesel good for 306 PS (302 hp / 225 kW). This one partners up with a six-speed manual gearbox and needs 5.7 seconds to reach 100 km/h (62 mph). The top speed lies at 270 km/h (167.8 mph).
The Accord uses the same engine model as the Civic, but dialed down to just 252 PS (249 hp / 185 kW).
