Car spotters photographed the next generation of the Honda Accord last month, and now, the car has been revealed thanks to official patent filings.
The new Honda features a revised front fascia with a modified radiator grille, new headlights and a different bumper. Thin light units sit next to a trapezoid grille resembling that of the Ford Taurus.
The sloping roofline seems unchanged from the current model (see video), while the rear end is all new. The taillights in particular look different and span the entire width of the rear. Rounding things off is a Civic-like rear bumper.
In its current form, the Accord can be obtained with a 1.5-liter turbo-four engine rated at 195 PS (192 hp / 143 kW), a 2.0-liter one capable of 255 PS (251 hp / 188 kW), and a hybrid powertrain good for 215 PS (212 hp / 158 kW).
