Honda’s plans to build its own EV Hub begin to take shape with the company having already invested $700,000,000 into preparing three electric car production factories and now planning on moving its existing industrial capacities.
Specifically, the company announced the transition of its Accord (see the gallery and the video) assembly lines from Marysville, Ohio to Indiana sometime around 2025. It also revealed the intention to set up petrol engine production in Alabama by August 2023, freeing up the capacities in Ohio for traction battery manufacturing.
In earlier news, Honda said it was planning to put at least $40,000,000,000 into increasing its EV and hybrid vehicle production to at least 40% by late 2030.
