A while ago, BMSPEC released an aerodynamic body kit for the Ford Focus RS. The tuner team has spent dozens of hours testing the components in the wind tunnel, aiming for the lowest drag and best downforce. As a result, the hatchback received a great amount of additional downforce and became much more pleasant to drive than its mass-produced counterpart. Today, the company revealed a similar kit for the fifth-gen (FK8) Honda Civic Type R.
The Japanese car gained an enormous front splitter spanning across the entire front fascia, large side skirt extensions, a rear wing and a small rear spoiler add-on. As for the diffusor, it turned out to be sufficiently good in its factory shape.
The team also swapped the stock wheels out for a set of RAYS TR37 motorsport rims in matte gold, and lowered the suspension somewhat.
In our opinion, the new BMSPEC Honda Civic Type R body kit is a major success that’s worth a praise both for its looks and functionality.
