Bisimoto introduces The Hoonigans to a 1,000-HP Honda Civic Wagon

U.S.-based tuner Bisimoto Engineering has met with The Hoonigans team to talk about an elderly Honda Civic Wagon (EF) boosted to deliver an amazing 1,000 horsepower (750 kilowatts) to all four wheels.

The stock K24 engine of the 27-year-old estate/wagon received new pistons, cams and connecting rods, as well as a reverse turbocharger from Turbonetics. As a result, its output rose to over 1,000 hp (750 kW).

The vehicle also gained a custom exhaust system based on AEM components, a roll cage, a KW Variant 3 suspension kit, a digital dashboard, a Quaife hydraulic sequential transmission and an AWD system with the rear gear unit taken from a 2004 Honda CR-V.

This isn’t the only 1,000-hp vehicle Bisimoto has in stock, though. The company had previously revealed a custom Honda Odyssey sporting a 3.5-liter engine with two Turbonetics chargers toiling together for almost 1,030 hp (768 kW) power output.
