BMW nose, vented trunk: Honda Civic undergoes some exquisite torture

We frankly do our best to spare our readers the throes of witnessing disastrous tuning projects, but sometimes there’s simply no escape. Brace yourself, put away food and drinks, and delve into the nightmarish realm that is homemade car tuning.

What you see here is a 1996 Honda Civic sedan/saloon that received an extensive custom glass-fiber kit. By the look of it, its owner could never quite make up his/her mind as to what direction to take their car in, so they took it in all directions at once. This is clearly evidenced by the BMW M3-like kidney grille, Nissan Skyline R34-style headlamps, Lexus SC430 taillights and an abomination of the rear end vaguely reminiscent of the Mitsubishi Lancer. Note especially the trunk air intakes facing away from the air flow; whoever came up with that idea might as well patent it, seeing how literally no one else has done such a thing before.

Gaudy chrome-coated wheels do their best to liven up the abysmal exterior, but the result could be described as quite the opposite. The cabin surely lives up to our expectations, too, with fake leather the color of arterial bleeding covering every surface in view.

If you find yourself struggling to name the single worst feature of the build, check out the dashboard. Yup, the instrument cluster now sits at the middle, whereas the little Pioneer display is right where the driver needs it – as long as said driver prefers watching YouTube or browse through music to boring things, like looking at the odometer.

We here at FormaCar would like to remind our dear readers that contacting your nearest tuner professional and getting their feedback on your project is often vital in order to avoid disasters such as this one.
