These leaked patent database pics from China depict the new Honda Civic model based on the concept car revealed last November (see video).
The production car is nearly identical to the prototype in terms of appearance. If you look carefully, you will see that the sedans on the photos are slightly different, like a standard trim and a special edition. The latter has extra black accents, a rear spoiler and dual exposed exhaust finishers. Both have number 240 on the trunk lid, though, so it seems like the engine stays the same no matter which one you choose.
The new generation is intended for an international release, which means that other countries will get the China-spec Civic without major modifications. Honda promised to reveal the U.S. spec this spring, so the waiting is almost over.
A five-door hatchback version should follow soon after the sedan. It will be produced in the United States instead of the UK. Civic Si and Civic Type R should come later, and the coupe will not be coming at all due to low demand.
