Let’s be honest, most supercar replicas are utter trash. Seriously, let’s face it: people turning cheap compacts into supercar wannabes either just want cheap attention or start with a sound idea, but lack the skills and/or money to pull it off. In the murky sea of low-quality imitations, this Civic-based Aventador comes across as a pleasant surprise.
The tuner, who lives in India, managed to design a convincing Lamborghini nose complete with the recognizable curves, headlights and bloated wheel arches. The roof is a bit on the tall side, and the rear end could use a redesign, but considering that the starting point was a Civic, it is actually quite impressive.
Smaller details like underglow, diamond stitching on the door panels and the ceiling, and Aventador-inspired seats reinforce the illusion nicely. There is even a hardtop that you can fold back into the trunk with a press of a button. 19-inch alloy wheels and hydraulic-powered scissor doors round off a stylish image. There is room for five in the cabin, but the rear bench can barely fit three children.
Overall, we think it is a commendable attempt at turning a mundane car into something special. And what’s your take?
