Fancy shoveling over $100k for a 26-year-old Honda Civic?

A U.S.-based importer of Japanese cars will soon add a rare three-door Honda Civic SiR to its inventory, which has 26 years and 26 kilometers (16 miles) of use behind it. Carscoops reports that the company expects a six-digit selling price.

There is no comment on why no one used the car throughout all these years, but whoever kept it made sure it was well preserved: the seats still have protective covers on, and certain parts of the interior are draped to keep dust away.

It is also unknown how much the current owner paid for this Civic in Japan, but we are told that the importer declined an offer of $70,000 USD not long ago. The client who made the offer even agreed to provide the amount in advance and then wait a few months to take delivery. Apparently, this was still not enough. If no one pays the ‘six-digit price’ the importer is expecting, it says it will keep the car in its collection until better days.

Powering the rare Civic SiR is a B16A-series four-cylinder engine with 1.6 liters of displacement and 160 PS (158 hp / 118 kW) at the crank.
