The Honda Civic Type R Sport Line will hit the market in Europe pretty soon, and here’s what it brings to the table.
The new Sports Line drops the large rear wing in favor of a smaller spoiler lip and gets new 19-inch wheels with a dark grey finish and Michelin Pilot Sports 4S tires. The red trim is no longer available, but the body color palette now includes Racing Blue. The noise proofing is significantly better in the new version, Honda claims.
Interior niceties include ergonomic seats with enhanced lateral support, black upholstery and contrast stitching. The gear stick is droplet-shaped, and the steering wheel comes wrapped in Alcantara.
The Sport Line series comes powered by the same I4 2.0 turbo as the standard Civic Type R. The output reaches as high as 315 hp (235 kW), and six-speed manual is the only transmission option available.
